Jacksonville, FL — A 21-year-old man died in an early morning crash in Jacksonville Beach.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash on 3rd Street North near 11th Avenue North. A red vehicle was obliterated as it as wrapped around a light pole.
The driver, who has not been named, died on scene. A white truck had significant damage. The 28-year-old driver who was not named, had injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
Jacksonville Beach Police said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
Just before 8 am, all lanes of 3rd Street reopened, some eight hours after the crash happened.
