Ocean storm to bring showers, strong winds, rip currents

Jacksonville, Fl — An area of low pressure passing east of Jacksonville is going to bring high winds, heavy showers, and dangerous rip currents at area beaches.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says temperatures will be 15+- degrees below average.

There is a very high rip current risk at area beaches as onshore winds continue and breakers of 6-9 feet arrive. Best advice is to stay out of the water. Winds will be 15-25+ mph closer to the coast with gusts of 40+ mph.
