Jacksonville, FL — Don't be alarmed if you see a heavy law enforcement presence Tuesday at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport off of US 1 in St. Augustine.
An exercise will be underway involving multiple agencies, including the St. Augustine - St. Johns County Airport Authority, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, St. Johns County Fire Rescue, St. Augustine Fire Department, and Northrop-Grumman.
The exercise is designed to simulate an aircraft crash scenario, with first responders dealing with multiple victims, fire, and smoke.
The exercise is set to kick off at 9:15 AM, Tuesday, May 14th.
