JACKSONVILLE, Fl. — After pleasant and near perfect Thanksgiving weather, it’s also looking like a really nice Black Friday shopping day.
CBS 47/FOX 30 Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says Friday will be mild with a mix of clouds and sun, but a cold front will move through by midday. High temps reach into the low 70s. A brief sprinkle or light shower is possible but Buresh adds that there won’t be any significant rainfall.
Temperatures drop down into the upper 30s well inland overnight tonight, but it will be a little warmer near the beaches. Some areas far inland could even wake up to some patchy frost early Saturday morning.
High temps will reach into the upper 60s on Saturday and it will stay cool and dry for Jacksonville’s annual Light Boat Parade along the St. Johns River downtown.
For the Jaguars game on Sunday we’ll have partly cloudy skies, dry conditions, and high temperatures again in the upper 60s. The Jags take on the Falcons at TIAA Bank Field and you can watch the game locally at 1 p.m. on CBS 47.
Overall, Buresh says there shouldn’t be any weather related issues for those returning home after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Looking ahead to next week, the forecasts for Monday and Tuesday are looking very similar with mostly sunny skies and high temps into the upper 60s to low 70s.
