There’s a new hospital coming to St. Johns County.
Ascension St. Vincent’s says they’ve picked the location and construction is expected to get started this fall. It’s estimated to create 600 jobs and the health system is investing $115 million.
The facility will be built as part of a mixed-use development in northern St. Johns County near County Road 210 and Interstate 95. It’s going to 150,000 square feet with 56 beds, with eight of those in the intensive care unit.
Ascension St. Vincent’s says the hospital will be able to handle all the services a general hospital has to offer with space to accommodate future expansion.
The hospital is scheduled to open in 2022.
