ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The National Police Bloodhound Association has wrapped training and seminars held in St. Augustine over the past week.

Officers from across the country participated in the training, ranging from local officers in Nassau County to officers from states such as Virginia, Connecticut, and California.
Officers completed 40 hours of classroom and field training to improve public safety and law enforcement operations in their communities. Handlers were also evaluated in various terrain and aged trails to earn NPBA National Certification.
From the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Merritt and K9 Daisy Mae, as well as Depouty Cooper and K9 Star were among the units to complete the Man TRailing Certification.
