A Nassau County man accused of attacking his girlfriend, who is 5-months pregnant with his child, was arrested Saturday.
Dustin Phillips, 22, was charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant woman.
According to the arrest report, the victim told deputies that Phillips shoved her to the ground after an argument turned physical.
Once on the ground, the victim stated that the suspect climbed on top of her stomach and held her down, while he screamed at her.
A witness pulled Phillips off of the victim, who then fled on foot.
Investigators talked to witnesses who said they saw the suspect punch the victim with a closed fist in the head area.
The victim declined medical treatment and said she was uninjured. Deputies said no physical injuries were visible.
Contact was later made with Phillips and he was placed under arrest.
