Jacksonville, FL — The Nassau County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help identifying a suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery and attempted murder in Fernandina Beach.

According to the sheriff's office around 5:30 AM on Wednesday, a suspect entered the 8th Street Arcade on S. 8th Street, brandishing a gun. Deputies say the man then fired a round into the ceiling.

When an employee tried to hide, deputies say the suspect fired a shot in her direction and demanded money. We're told that the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash in an unknown direction.

At this time, there's no description of the suspect's vehicle, but deputies say the suspect is described as a black man with long dreadlocks who was wearing a black mask.
