Motorcyclist dies in I-95 crash in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man is dead after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the back of an SUV on Interstate 95 Tuesday. The wreck occurred at about 7:39 p.m. at I-95/Beaver Street, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The SUV, driven by a 55-year-old Jacksonville man, experienced a vehicle malfunction requiring him to stop, the FHP news release states. He was traveling northbound. The 31-year-old motorcyclist was also traveling northbound on I-95 when he changed lanes and crashed into the back of the SUV, the news release states.
