LADY LAKE, Fla. — One of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives was arrested in Florida Saturday. Donald Eugene Fields II, 60, was on the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list since 2023. He was arrested after a routine traffic stop in Lake County.

Fields is accused of child sex trafficking and child rape and is facing federal and state charges, according to the FBI. He was pulled over by the Lady Lake Police Department for having a plate that was not registered to the vehicle he was driving.

Fields was federally indicted in St. Louis on Dec.7, 2023 on one count of child sex trafficking, according to the FBI. The indictment accuses him of knowingly attempting to recruit, entice, provide, patronize, and solicit a minor into engaging in a commercial sex act from about January 2013 until June 2017, according to the FBI.
Fields II is also facing charges including statutory rape, statutory sodomy, child molestation, and witness tampering in Franklin County Circuit Court in Missouri. A warrant for his arrest was issued by that court after Fields vacated his home and failed to show up for a March 3, 2022, hearing, the FBI said.
“Thanks to proactive policing by the Lady Lake Police Department, one of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted fugitives has been captured,” said FBI St. Louis Special Agent in Charge Ashley Johnson.
