Jacksonville — Jacksonville Police are searching for any suspects that are associated with a meth lab that was discovered inside the old Hourglass Pub at the corner of Liberty and Bay Streets. JSO says they were called out to the recently purchased property Thursday around 2:30 in the afternoon because as crews were cleaning it up one worker found prescription medications and marijuana. JSO says they took the drugs away and left the scene.
Later the same person called JSO back, to let them know they found a five gallon gas can with what appeared to be “liquid meth” inside.
“I had them clean out, so we could you know, redo everything. And they found it in-between all the trash and debris.” The new owner’s assistant Yup Sing says.
The maintenance worker who found the meth tells our partners at Action News Jax that it was hidden in the back patio area.

Police say the can with the liquid meth was about halfway full, and Sing says it was an orange liquid found inside the can.
JSO tested the liquid and found traces of methamphetamine. Police say when they searched the rest of the property they found items that are typically found in meth labs.
Police have removed all the items from the property.
