Man wanted for Jacksonville Ponzi scheme arrested more than a year later

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Cedric Griffin, a man wanted for scamming 50 people in a local Ponzi scheme, has been arrested after being on the run since 2023.

According to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrest records, Griffin was arrested on Monday after turning himself in.

Police have been looking for the suspect since May 2023.

Griffin was wanted for a real estate Ponzi scheme that involved more than 50 victims and $4 million.

According to the Duval County Clerk of Circuit Court records, Griffin’s bond was set at $500,003.

He has an appearance scheduled for Feb. 10.
