JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead after a shooting Sunday on Jacksonville’s Southside. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called to the 8800 block of Beach Boulevard near Southside Boulevard at about 10 p.m. in reference to a person shot.

Officers arrived on the scene and located an adult male with a gunshot wound, a Jacksonville police news release states. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department rushed the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. An adult male suspect is in custody and being question by police, the news release states.
