Protestors said this undermines the protections and equality for LGBTQ+ individuals.
President Trump also said he would declare a national emergency at the southern border, an effort to keep illegal immigrants and drugs from entering the country.
However, Neal Jefferson with the Jacksonville Community Action Committee said these policies are instead separating families or seeking the American dream.
“These are people who are coming here for a better life. The United States is supposed to be a place where people can come no matter where they’re from, who they are, and make it. Isn’t that the American dream?” Jefferson said.

People at the protest told Action News Jax they are hopeful about the economy as well, but they are not a fan of Trump’s approach.
They say drilling for more oil will only hurt the ecosystem.
