There’s a new micro-brewery in town: Flying Fish Tap House is now open on Airport Road and Ranch Road in Jacksonville. As you would expect, they offer a wide selection of draft beers but there’s also more than 25 wine choices, bottled beers and specialty cocktails.
Executive Chef Scott Welch has developed new concept ideas in cities all over the country and he specializes in fresh and local products. Starters include chicken wings, shrimp and gator tail. They serve soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Some house specialties include steak, schnitzel and salmon plus they have a kids menu.
According to their website, during happy hour on weekdays from 4 - 7pm you can get a dollar off draft beer and well liquor and 2 dollars off wine by the glass.
The tap room is also home to live music most nights of the week and you can see a list of scheduled performers on their website.
