JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A local restaurant here in Jacksonville was forced to close earlier today after a car crashed into its building.

The restaurant, Jamrock Caribbean, is located on Lem Turner Road on the Northside.
Action News Jax spoke with the restaurant today, who said they were awoken early in the morning to hear the news of the crash. They stated that they were told by police that the incident occurred at around 2:45 a.m.
The report says the car hit a nearby light pole before going through the restaurant and hitting a beauty salon next door.
The restaurant estimated over $20,000 in damages was caused by the crash.
