Jacksonville, FL — It's been a very busy night and early morning for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office with at least one person dead and multiple others injured.
JSO detectives were canvassing a crime scene following a shooting on Liston Road, near Moncrief and Soutel Drive. Police have not said if anyone was killed or injured.
Around 12:30 am, police were called to Parental Home Road, off Beach Boulevard near Pottsburg Creek to find a person not breathing. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Foul play is suspected as he had several injuries to his upper body. Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed what happened.
Around 9:45 pm Wednesday night on Justina Road near Jacksonville University. Two men were walking when they heard multiple gun shots and took off running. One was grazed on his forearm. Two parked vehicles were struck by bullets. Police were working to identify possible suspects.
And at 7:30 pm Wednesday on Madison Avenue, off Lem Turner in the Riverview area, a woman in her late teens was seriously injured in a shooting. She had been taken to the hospital by family members with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries. The only suspect description was a light-skinned black man wearing a light colored shirt and blue jeans.
