For some people she spoke with, watching the fireworks with friends and family is their tradition.
Jacksonville resident Adar. H said she’s seen all fireworks shows since 2009. Adar is also looking forward to 2025.
“To be honest, to rest a little bit more... Spend time with family more. My kids are getting older, so I gotta spend time with them more,” Adar said.
Attendees had plenty of other traditions to talk about too.

“We eat the greens and black-eyed peas,” Wilson told Action News Jax.
Maria Ricaurte, who is visiting Jacksonville, also had a tradition that involved food.
“In Columbia, there are a lot of traditions, principally the grapes, like you should eat 12 grapes before midnight,” Ricaurte said.
