JACKSONVILLE, FLa. — The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) announces the completion of it’s $21 million dollar Alta Drive widening construction project. Alta Drive will now feature a six-lane, divided roadway from the I-295 exit to Faye Road, a four-lane divided roadway to Ashgrove Road, and a five-lane roadway to Burkit Lane.
With the completion of the widening project, residents will see updates such as expanded roadways, an improved drainage system, signage and signalization, improved lighting, and new pedestrian sidewalks and bike lanes.
