Jacksonville, FL — SWAT members with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office were called out to a gated community in Queens Harbour Wednesday morning after receiving reports of a suicidal man.
Police said when they arrived at the man’s house on Bella Riva Lane around 7:20 a.m., they found him on the roof. JSO said the man had a knife and threatened to jump off the roof.
After lengthy conversation, the man voluntarily came down and was taken into protective custody, per JSO.
He was transported to a facility for further evaluation.
