Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating, after a small, suspicious item was found very close to a JSO substation Friday evening.
JSO says some of their officers spotted the item, just before 6:30 pm at the substation on Blanding Boulevard, prompting them to call the bomb squad in.

Police are not yet providing any details about exactly what the item is, as they are not entirely sure yet, but they do tell us it’s NOT thought to be explosive. JSO says it will be transported to a separate location to be assessed.
