JSO investigating three inmate overdoses at the Duval County Jail

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says it's investigating three overdose incidents at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility at the Duval County Jail.

According to JSO, all three incidents involved female inmates. All have been transported to the hospital, where police say they're now recovering.

Their early investigation reveals that the three overdoses likely involved heroin.

JSO says they have no further details to release at this point, including exactly how the inmates got a hold of the drugs. The report says the incident happened on Tuesday, June 12th.
