JSO finds missing endangered child

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update 10 a.m.: The missing child has been found safe.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a missing 11-year-old on the city’s Southside.

11-year-old Jaylen Lamar Wright was last seen leaving his family’s temporary residence on foot in the area of 8700 Baymeadows Road.

Detectives continue to work diligently on this case; however, due to the victim’s age, JSO is asking for assistance in ascertaining his safety. If you reside in the area, JSO asks you to check any cameras, vehicles, and property for Jaylen.

Anyone having seen Jaylen or who has information that could assist in this search is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500.
