JSO Detective hospitalized following crash on northwest side

Jacksonville, FL — A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Detective is recovering from non-life threatening injuries following a late morning crash on the northwest side of town.

Officers say the detective’s unmarked vehicle was hit when another car attempted to turn in front of him on Picketville Road and West Beaver Street.

The Sergeant was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.  The other driver was taken to another area hospital for treatment.
