JSO arrests woman for allegedly shooting her elderly mother in Sandalwood

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a shooting in Sandalwood, Friday afternoon.

According to police, they were called just after 1:00 pm to a home in the 11100 block of Lord Taylor Drive, where they found one victim with a gunshot wound.

Officers say their investigation revealed that a woman apparently shot her elderly mother, during some sort of argument. Police say there were witnesses.

At this time, their names and ages aren't being released. JSO was also unsure of the mother's condition.
