JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured.

According to police, they responded to a call at 510 Lane Avenue South around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday.
Two people were found shot: a 25 to 30-year-old woman and a 30 to 40-year-old man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
The woman was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound in her leg.
Police told Action News Jax the suspect fled in a car with an unknown description.
There were no witnesses.
