PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — After a string of vehicle and boat burglaries, officers in Putnam County conducted a joint operation to catch a suspect.

On Dec. 13, officers with the Palatka Police Department responded to 100 Memorial Parkway about the burglaries. Victims reported that approximately $20,000 in fishing equipment had been stolen.
On Dec. 16, discovered a large amount of fishing equipment listed for sale on social media, which matched the descriptions of items that had been reported stolen. Through the investigation, it was determined the suspect was selling the equipment from within an apartment complex located in East Palatka.
Undercover Detectives contacted the suspect, who was later identified as Andrea Walker Jr., 21, and made arrangements to purchase some of the fishing equipment. When detectives met with Walker, they identified the stolen property before purchase.
Walker was then arrested and shortly after, a large quantity of the stolen fishing equipment was recovered at the apartment.
