Jacksonville, FL. — Sunday is another big game for the Jacksonville Jaguars that not only has a potential effect on the AFC South Divisional race, but also for the Jaguars playoff seeding.
The Jags host the Houston Texans at Everbank Field, and at 9-4, they will be looking to come out on top again, after winning the first match-up between the two teams in Week 1 of the season, 29-7.
Jacksonville will be relying on their strong defense to set the tone.
The Jaguars defense lead the NFL in points allowed per game (15.5), total points allowed (202), passing yards allowed per game (174.2) and overall sacks (47).

With already a seemingly big order on the Houston Texans plate facing this Jacksonville defense, they bring their own woes at quarterback for Sunday’s game.
Rookie Deshaun Watson is already out with an ACL injury, and backup Tom Savage is out as well after suffering a concussion during last week’s contest against San Francisco. That leaves third string quarterback T.J. Yates the unenviable tasks of figuring out a way to crack the Jaguars defensive code.
Playoff wise, with a Jags win and a Patriots loss to the Steelers this weekend, they will be tied with New England for the second seed with two games to go.
If the Patriots were to win their game against the Steelers, and the Jaguars earn a win too, that would put the Jags just a game out of the top overall seed for the conference with two games left in the season.
Kickoff is at 1pm on FOX.
