A Jacksonville woman has been indicted for sex trafficking of a minor.
Not many details are provided in the federal court records relating to the arrest of 38-year-old Lisa Glass. The indictment says between May and September 2015, Glass trafficked a girl in Clay and Duval counties.
“Did knowingly recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, advertise, maintain, patronize, and solicit by any means a person, that is a minor female that had not attained the age of 18 years and whose initials are H.G., while knowing and in reckless disregard of the fact that H.G. had not attained the age of 18 years and would be caused to engage in a commercial sex act,” the federal indictment says.
The indictment was filed at the end of January, but Glass’ first appearance in federal court didn’t come until today. Jail records show Glass has been in the Duval, Clay, and Nassau county jails in the last few months for charges including prostitution and drug paraphernalia. She is in federal custody at this time.
Glass faces a minimum of ten years in prison and up to a life sentence if convicted.
