Jacksonville police: Man shot multiple times in both legs, 2 people detained

Jacksonville police are investigating after a man was shot Friday afternoon on West 14th Street.

Police said the man was walking down the street in the 2100 block when an unknown person shot him multiple times in both legs.

He was taken to a hospital and his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, JSO said.

Investigators spoke to witnesses and searched the area for possible surveillance video. Two people were detained and detectives were able to interview them.

Police were not able to speak to the man shot before he received medical treatment.
