Jacksonville police, Crime Stoppers pushing for answers in two unsolved murder cases

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and First Coast Crime Stoppers are pushing for answers in two, local, unsolved murder cases.

In separate cases, Tyler Hendrix and Jonah Golden were murdered and no arrests have been made.

Hendrix was fatally shot on West Beaver Street on July 12 and detectives have been following tips and leads for the last four months trying to solve his case. JSO is now asking the public for help, in an attempt to find Hendrix’s killer.

Hendrix was known to ride his bike around the Paradise Village mobile home park – near the area where he was killed.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in Hendrix’s case, provided by his family and First Coast Crime Stoppers.

Family of Hendrix say he was looking for work at the time he was killed and would ride his bike around listening to music during the days.

“Somebody in Paradise Village I believe knows more than they’re saying,” Crystal Hall, Hendrix’s mother, said. “I hope and pray someone will have a conscience and speak up because we need the pieces – we need closure.”

Jonah Golden, 19, died after being shot inside his Liska Drive home during a large party in April. Police are not sure who fired the shot.

Golden’s mother, Rebecca Harp, says Golden worked two jobs and wasn’t working the night he was shot.

“Jonah was a really sweet kid,” Harp said. “From the time he was a baby, he would’ve given the shirt off his own back to help somebody else.”

A total of $8,000 is being offered between First Coast Crimes Stoppers and Golden’s family for information leading to an arrest.

If you have any information about either case, please call First Coast Crime Stoppers or the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
