Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp asking for help to name second mascot

Jacksonville, Fl. — It’s your chance to win season tickets and to participate in the unveiling ceremony on Opening Night.

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are asking fans to name their second mascot, who is presented by the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships and will be unveiled on Opening Night, Wednesday, April 12 at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

“The new Shrimp mascot, and our returning mascot, Southpaw represent the affordable family fun that fans can enjoy at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville,” says Jumbo Shrimp General Manager Harold Craw.

From now until Tuesday, April 4, fans can submit names for the new mascot by going to any of the Tom Bush Family of Dealerships (there are 10 locations), visiting www.tombush.com, or sending an e-mail to win@jaxshrimp.com with the name suggestion in the subject line and his or her name, address, and phone number in the body of the message.

An online vote from among the top five names as determined by the Jumbo Shrimp front office, will run from Wednesday, April 5, to Tuesday, April 11.

The winner of the contest will be selected at random from those fans who submitted the winning name.
