Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially parted ways with their 2014 first-round draft pick.
The move was expected, as the team confirmed Wednesday that they are signing Super Bowl 52 MVP Nick Foles. The deal is reportedly an $88 million, four-year contract.
Foles will be formally introduced to the fans in Jacksonville on Thursday at 1PM.
According to our partner Action Sports Jax, Blake Bortles had 111 total touchdowns, through both running and throwing. He also, however, had 74 interceptions and 28 fumbles.
Last season, Bortles and the Jags had a strong start, but the spiral started with the multi-turnover Kansas City game, according to Action Sports Jax. Bortles was benched later in the season, in an effort to stir up some offense.
Following the announcement from the Jags, Bortles’ former teammates have been voicing their support for him.
