Jacksonville, FL — If you’re looking for something to do that the whole family can enjoy, the First Coast Skating Academy at Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex is now offering ‘Learn to Skate’ classes for guests of all ages and skill levels.
All classes focus on teaching the fundamentals of ice skating to heighten the ice sports experience and prepare skaters for a successful transition into figure skating or hockey.
“With the fall season right around the corner, hockey and ice skating are great options for extracurricular activities,” said Ice & Sportsplex owner Mark Scheff. “We’ve seen great success in our ‘Learn to Skate’ classes over the years.”
Classes are divided based on skill level and interest, whether it be casual skating, figure skating or hockey. The certified instructors at Jacksonville Ice work with skaters at every level to ensure success and confidence while on the ice.
The classes take place twice a week, giving registrants the option of taking one or two classes per week. New participants have the chance to try a ‘Learn to Skate’ class for only $16.
With the health of their guests and employees in mind, Jacksonville Ice has implemented updated safety protocols and added to their already stringent cleaning procedures. In accordance with the city of Jacksonville’s mandate, face coverings are required by all employees, instructors, and guests while inside the building.
