According to a news release, it’s a new system meant to enhance the city’s ability to recover disaster-related costs more efficiently.

It will help protect the city’s financial stability after hurricanes and other declared emergencies.

F-ROC will simplify and standardize the Public Assistance process.

“Once again, Jacksonville is leading the country on emergency preparedness and response, just like we have done with Emergency Road Access Teams and many other initiatives,” Mayor Donna Deegan said in the release. “I want to thank Director Guthrie and his team for allowing Jacksonville to be the first city to adopt the new F-ROC system, which will bring back so much money back to our community.”

Jacksonville aims to have all relevant employees fully trained by June 1.
