Jacksonville, FL — Investigators for Jacksonville Beach Police are trying to figure out what led to a deadly shooting on 17th Avenue North, late Thursday night.
Jacksonville Beach Police say they found the man in the street. Officers performed CPR on him until rescue arrived, but he was pronounced dead. As of last night, police did not have anybody detained but they do not believe there is a current threat to the public.
RIGHT NOW: Police are working to find who shot and killed a man in Jax Beach. They say they found him lying in the middle of the road, just a few blocks away from Fletcher Middle School.

A suspect has not been identified and suspect information has not been released. Investigators are working with witnesses to get more information.
An update on the investigation is expected around noon.
