JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — UPDATE: Tuesday, 8:36 a.m.

Jacksonville Beach man with autism reunited with his family following a Tuesday morning search.

The police department released a statement saying, “Thank you for your help getting this information out, because you did a citizen found him and brought him to police.”

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is asking for the community’s help looking for a man with functioning autism.

Officers say Lou Corrao, 25, left his house early Tuesday morning with his wallet and house key, but has not returned back. He’s expressed interest to his mom that he wants to be more independent. In the past he’s gone on walks by himself, but has always come back.

Corrao was last seen around 2 a.m. wearing a dark gray zip-up hoodie, blue shirt and black shorts with a green swirl. He’s a white man with brown hair and blue eyes at 5′6″ and 180 pounds.
