Jacksonville Aviation Authority selects new CEO

New Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO Mark VanLoh (Jacksonville Aviation Authority)

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority has a new CEO after the Board of Directors unanimously selected Mark VanLoh.

The selection comes after Steve Grossman's retirement. He was the CEO for nine years.

VanLoh spoke at the monthly board meeting, saying he's excited about joining JAA and is looking forward to building on the current growth.

The search firm received 73 applications for the CEO position, and narrowed that list to four finalists. JAA says all four interviewed for the position.

The president of the outside search firm, Doug Kuelpman says VanLoh was the clear winner.

VanLoh has been president and CEO of the Tulsa Airports Authority since February 2017. Before that served 12 years as director of aviation for the city of Kansas City, Missouri, according to JAA.

He has a degree from Minnesota State University and served in the U.S Army from 1978 to 1981.
