Jacksonville, Fla. — The owners of a Jacksonville comic store are working to recover thousands of dollars worth of stolen items.
According to police, someone broke into the Mythical Mountain store on San Jose Boulevard on Dec. 31st.
The owner, Kathy Dellaire, said it happened just before 2 a.m. Her husband rushed to the store to find the lock on the front door busted off.

About $4,850 worth of items were taken and it was all captured on camera.
In the surveillance video, you can see someone carrying a large duffel bag get onto the back counter and clear the top shelves.
That is where the store kept its high-value graded comics and other high-dollar books.
Kathy said some of these books can range from $20 to thousands of dollars.

“They are very popular with collectors,” said Kathy. “They know exactly what they are getting when they want to purchase a graded book.”
Kathy believes this was targeted.
According to a report from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, police believe the suspect is a man. He was wearing a light-colored hoodie, a NY Yankees hat, jeans, a mask, and gloves.
With this description, Kathy hopes to recover what was stolen and hold whoever is responsible accountable.
“It’s extremely frustrating, heartbreaking, that people think it is okay the break into someone’s place of business,” said Kathy.
The owners are offering a $2,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
