No injuries during Riverside SWAT call out

No one was hurt during a SWAT call out in Riverside Tuesday morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a convicted felon in his early 20's threatened to commit suicide after getting into an argument with his girlfriend. JSO later identified the suspect as Kaikoa Chase Nakamura.

The woman locked herself and their 1-month-old baby inside the duplex that the couple shared along College Street near Post Street.

JSO said the man armed himself with a sawed off shotgun, went outside and threated police as well.

The man finally complied with the demands given by the SWAT team. Police took him into custody. A spokesperson with JSO said they planned to Baker Act the man and charge him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said the shot gun was stolen.
