Indictments returned in high profile Jacksonville murder cases

Jacksonville, FL — State Attorney Melissa Nelson has announced the return by a grand jury of indictments in two high profile murder cases.

We've previously told you about arrests in the murder of 22-month-old Aiden McClendon, and San Jose Elementary School music teacher Deborah Liles.

The indictment charges Adam Lawson with first-degree murder, grand theft auto and armed burglary for last spring's home invasion and killing of Liles.  Police say Lawson has a history of burglaries in another city.

In the other case, Henry Hayes and Kquame Richardson are charged with the gang-related shooting death of the toddler on Jacksonville's northside.

Both suspects were connected to the gang, Problem Child Entertainment.

In all, the State Attorney announced indictments charging eight defendants with First Degree Murder in seven separate cases.
