LAKE CITY, Fla. — A Lake City couple is dead after a single-vehicle wreck Thursday. The accident occurred after 3 p.m. at SW Baya Drive near SE Perry Avenue, a Lake City police news release states.
The couple was identified as Charles Fails, 51, and his wife, Tracy Fails, 49.

“The investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling east on SW Baya Drive, approaching SE Perry Avenue, apparently lost control, veered onto the sidewalk, and struck a utility pole,” the news release states. “Both the driver and the passenger sustained fatal injuries”
