Jacksonville, FL — Dangerous heat will impact your afternoon, as feels-like temps between 105 and 110 degrees for multiple hours. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for all NE Florida counties except Baker, from Noon-6pm.
Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon between 1 and 3 pm and linger through the early evening. Locally heavy downpours and lightning are the main threats. Those storms will fade away after sunset with the loss of heating.
This weekend will see daily afternoon thunderstorms and highs in the lower to mid 90’s. The lower 90’s stick around for back to school next week.
