Jacksonville, FL — In parts of town it was a mess last night. Severe storms rolled through around and after sunset with multiple reports of hail, some up to 2′' in diameter. Storms were primarily focused along and west of the I-95 corridor in Duval and Nassau Counties.
The roof of Dunkin Donuts on Cassat Avenue in Murray Hill collapsed. And as much as 5′' of rain was recorded along Normandy Boulevard.
“A lot of flooding, McCoy Creek had some flooding near downtown due to the heavy rainfall”, said Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh.
