Tuesday is the big day for Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis and the rest of the incoming Florida cabinet as they are set to be sworn in. Before they take the oath, they spent some time with law enforcement and military personnel during a ceremony Monday to honor those who have served.
As a veteran, I understand the sacrifices our military & first responders make to protect us all. This afternoon, we honored those who selflessly serve us both at home & abroad. I appreciate the veterans, military members, first responders & Gold Star families who joined us. pic.twitter.com/Im40fNc3g8

.@Op300 is an amazing organization that honors the memory of our fallen heroes and works to brighten the lives of those they've left behind. Incredibly thankful for our Inaugural Committee and sponsors who donated $150,000 to Operation 300 to further their mission. Thank you! pic.twitter.com/Q3Tg6Jq9Mh

Hundreds came out to the event in Tallahassee including representatives from Camp Blanding. One of them was COL. Warfel from Camp Blanding and he says it was an honor to be at the event.
“The Jacksonville area offers a lot, a lot, of support to Camp Blanding and great military community, a great military friendly community.” COL. Warfel says.
He also says its nice to know that the incoming governor and the Florida Legislature support the initiatives of the Florida National Guard and he hopes the legislature continues to support the programs that are at Camp Blanding moving forward.
DeSantis is set to be sworn in Tuesday during a ceremony at the capitol which starts at 11 in the morning.
