GEORGIA — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources is asking for help observing monarch butterflies.

It’s part of a multi-organization partnership called Monarchs Overwintering in the Southeastern States.
According to a news release, the information can help scientists understand migration and overwintering behavior, which is “crucial to conserving monarchs.”
You are asked to report all monarch sightings (including adults, eggs, larvae and pupae) from November to March in Georgia, the Carolinas, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.
