Free tutoring now available for DCPS students, thanks to new partnership

It's exciting news for Duval County parents and students.

Thanks to a partnership between the Jacksonville Public Library and Duval County Public Schools, your kids can now access free tutoring, using their computer or any mobile device.

All kids will need is a library card or a DCPS school ID to access Brainfuse, which features live tutoring, a writing lab, SAT and ACT prep materials, as well as online flashcards and more.

As Jacksonville Public Library Youth Services Librarian Beth Friederich explains, it's not just helpful for students; it's another aid for parents.

"I think a lot of children go to their parents at night when they need help. And, I don't know, but it's been a while since I did fifth-grade earth science," Friederich says.

The live tutoring will be available from 2 to 11 p.m. each night.

And it's not just for kids, Brainfuse also offers services for adults, like resume-checking.
