Free Comic Book Day events offered across the First Coast

Jacksonville, FL — It’s a comic book fan’s dream – free comic books.

Local comic book stores will be hosting a series of events in honor of Free Comic Book Day under one condition: Don’t spoil Endgame.

Joe Field, the originator of Free Comic Book Day and the owner of a California comic book store says they continue to push to bring fans the very best experience.

"The caliber, strength, and depth of this year's comic book titles is fantastic and independent comic book shop retailers all over the world can't wait to treat fans and customers to an incredible day of fun, discovery, and learning about comic books and comic book shops."

Free Comic Book Day does not mean people can get any comic book free of their choice, there is actually a list of books that will be offered. According www.freecomicbookday.com, only the comics with the “free comic book day” logo on it will be up for grabs.

Gotham City Limit tells WOKV Free Comic Book Day is the biggest day of the year for them, from having a game room truck coming into having 20% off on certain items in their stores.

Mythical Mountain is planning a 15% store-wide sale, prize wheel, and free sandwich samples.

According to Cosmic Comics, they will be opening an hour early as they encourage local comic book lovers to come in at 11:00 am to beat the crowd, take advantage of the sales and pick up their free comic books.

Altered Ego Comics and & Games plan on having a 15% sale on in stock-statues. The store plans to hold a sale celebrating Free Comic Book Day all weekend.
