This training comes after a 94% increase in hate crimes against Jewish Floridians from 2022 to 2023 according to the latest Hate Crimes in Florida Report.
In partnership with the Combat Antisemitism Movement, Attorney General Moody also announces an upcoming training designed to educate law enforcement and investigators about hate crimes and antisemitism on college and university campuses.
The training is tailored to educate individuals from federal and state agencies, detectives, police officers, sheriff’s deputies, university police, and other public safety officers.
“While law enforcement continues to vigilantly protect Jewish Floridians, we are seeing an increase in reported antisemitic hate crimes,” said Attorney General Moody. “That is why we are hosting a training to help combat antisemitism on college campuses.”
The training will be held at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton on April 30, 2025.
