Fishing Pier at SR 206 Bridge temporarily closes

The State Road 206 Bridge at Crescent Beach is undergoing some repair work, and to accommodate that, the Fishing Pier is temporarily closing.

The Florida Department of Transportation says the Pier closure is expected through September. The Bridge itself will remain open for vehicle and marine traffic, with occasional overnight lane closures.

The rehabilitation work includes corrosion protection, concrete repairs, and replacement of the Pier. The overall project cost is $3 million, and it is scheduled to be completes by later this year.
